Strategies[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

  • Alan is best used once doing missions involving instant death monsters. His blinding light ability, combined with some speedster crusaders, is usually enough to let you switch areas before the monsters break your tank line. If it is not enough, his resurrection ability might let you squeeze a few extra seconds, as it lets you trigger the blinding light ability a second time.
  • Blinding Light is a per-monster debuff. For example, if monster1 attacks an affected crusader, it will be stunned for 2 seconds. If monster2 attacks the same crusader 1 second later, then monster2 will be stunned for 2 seconds. Monster1 will recover from the stun after 1 more second.
  • Blinding Light can be propagated, increasing the duration of the stun. With his golden legendary helmet, Alan's Resurrection will have a 30 second cooldown. Thus, if Blinding Light is propagated with a 1500% multiplier, its stun duration will match the Resurrection cooldown of 30 seconds. This allows for literally infinite tanking (until the game crashes): Monsters will attack the affected crusader, then be stunned for at least 30 seconds, then eventually kill the affected crusader, then be pushed back by Resurrection, then attack the affected crusader again. Since the stun affects all monsters individually, there is literally no opportunity for the affected crusader to die while Resurrection is unavailable. Naturally, this can be accomplished with a lower rarity helmet, but will require stronger propagation to compensate.
