Dr. Evil, PhD is the new Crusader in the third tier of the Dr. Evil's Summer Sabotage Event. Before the accident that turned him robotic, Dr. Evil would experiment on Crusaders, infecting them with viruses to increase their combat potential.
At level 50, the Doctor's Horrible Experiment will infect random nearby Crusaders, giving them a DPS boost. These infections become profitable at level 300 with Special Grant Money, and speed up the enemies with the Heavy Competition ability.

Doctor Nice Guy
With his new skin, the Doctor becomes a force for good instead of evil, and an appropriate new name. Besides some minor flavor text and ability title changes, Doctor Nice Guy has tag changes:

The above item list is transcluded from Dr. Evil, PhD/Items. (edit | history) |
- Dr. Evil main ability is his Horrible Experiment. Which increases the infected DPS by 100%.
- Mutant Powers? stacks multiplicatively
- his Legendary Eyepatch increases the duration of Horrible Experiment which allows more crusaders to be infected which in turn allows you to get more stacks of Mutant Powers?
- Dr. Evil works best as gold buffer in a split gender party with lots of supernatural crusaders.
- however when Kris, the Enraged Elemental is infected Dr.evil's Special Grant Money will activate and be boosted as well (Kris is male, female and supernatural)
- Humane Testing works best if there are only human crusaders in range and no animal crusaders
- Because of his Heavy Competition ability, he's used frequently as speed crusaders together with Baenarall, Angel of Hope, President Billy Smithsonian, Sjin the Builder, Turps the Tasty, Penny the Park Planner, Chef Casey and Rex the Wrestler. Mindy the Mime is usually used together to mimic two of them.
- Uniquely, Humane Testing is able to reduce the entire formation's DPS to 0 if there are 7 infected animals. This is usually a detriment, but it can be used to keep bosses alive so that Odile's Hippo Snowflake Freeze projectile has time to kill it, allowing Odile to gain stacks on low areas. (The projectile can kill low-area bosses with 0 DPS because it then uses CLK instead.) It can similarly be used to spam Fire Storm to gain stacks on Zuczek the Fire-Blooded, so that the increasing buff can never kill the target. Strangely, this commonly stops at 0% instead of -100%, but "updating" the formation (for example, by using Level/Upgrade All, moving a crusader, or benching then un-benching a crusader) usually fixes it back to the expected -100%.
- If Dr. Evil is able to infect a propagator, then he will also be able to infect any crusader(s) that is targeted by that propagator. Similarly, a crusader with Center of the Universe can be infected by Dr. Evil, regardless of their position.
