Rex the Wrestler

Rex the Wrestler is the new Crusader in the third tier of the Gardeners of the Galaxy Event. He's big, he's buff, he's shirtless and purple-skinned: Rex the Wrestler has joined Crusaders of the Lost Idols! Rex is a male support Crusader who takes trophies from slain enemies, occasionally selling them on the black market to enable buffs for the party. And did we mention the body paint? Also we're pretty sure he's invisible.

At level 100, Rex unlocks his Black Market ability, selling his Trophy items for random temporary buffs, including:

Illicit Gold: +100% Gold Find

At level 300, New Buyers is unlocked, which adds to the Black Market options:

Illicit DPS: Increase global DPS by 100%

At level 400,Critical Sale is available and adds:

Illicit Crits: Increases Critical Click Chance by 50%

At level 600, Exotic Markets adds:

Illicit Spawning: 50% spawn speed increase

New Buyers stacks multiplicatively. All other trophy effects stack additively.
Rex's ability works by selling trophies gained from killing monsters. Because of that, he's less effective when the formation isn't instakilling, reasonably effective when the formation is instakilling, and ever more effective when the formation is instakilling at a high speed.
The sold trophies can be used either to increase gold bonus, increase formation DPS, increase critical click chance or increase monster's spawn speed. Excluding the gold bonus one, the last three trophies are introduced by upgrades and can therefore be disabled or enabled to control which bonus he might get.
Since another instance of Rex's ability activates every time 25 monsters have been killed, pairing him with other speed crusaders and using monster spawn speed buffs directly increases the number of trophies he will be able to have active at a time. Disabling every other trophy-introducing ability apart from Exotic Markets will therefore maximize the possible monster spawn speed bonus and thus the buff that Rex will provide to his own ability. Using this strategy, good enough gear, and other speed buffs, Rex can provide an average spawn speed bonus of several hundred percent.
Because of his ability to increase monster's spawn speed, Rex is usually used together with other speed crusaders.
The chance of Creative Trophies can be increased by Gemthel's Norog Spice.
For some reason, each stack of New Buyers functions as a separate effect. As a result, each stack is affected individually by Imani's legendary belt effect and Farmer Brown's Valley of Dew, making them exceptionally effective with Rex.
