Thalia, the Thunder King is one of the Crusaders that bring a special ability along to the team. At the sixth upgrade Thalia receives the Storm Rider ability. Each activation gives a stacking 10% boost to your DPS global multiplier each time it is used (15% with default Magnify); however, it is subject to an eight hour cooldown (default) before it can be reused. To reduce cooldown time, purchase Storm's Building talent in Talents .
As with all special abilities, Thalia must be in the current formation to execute Storm Rider, but the reward persists even when Thalia is benched or sent on a mission.

- Besides being a temporary main damage-dealer, a monster magnet and having Storm Rider, Thalia is one that you would want to consider to use as the formation's tank.
- Storm Rider deserves a special mention. Since it increases formation dps permanently without even needing him in the formation, it is recommended that you activate a Magnified Storm Rider (yes, Storm Rider can be Magnified) every time it is available. Even though boosting only a small value, it is cumulative throughout the run and stacking several charges of Storm Rider could make a difference.
- Also keep in mind, that any time from a Warp will also reduce the cool down of Storm Rider by the same amount. You could use the ability, use a 4 or 8 hour warp and be ready to use Storm Rider again right away, depending on how much cool down reduction you already have.
- However, it should be noted that Storm Rider bonuses do not carry over resets.
- Thalia's legendary Amulet adds Gold bonus to each Storm Rider usage. However unlike Storm Rider, this bonus is not affected by Magnify
- Avoid placing Thalia in the frontline if you have other Tank Crusdaders in that column, since it would diminish the potential of some of their Formation Abilities.
- Or just don't buy/disable the Lightning Rod upgrade, and let the monsters attack him and the other tanks equally.
- Thalia's 5th Rune upgrades his Lightning Ore (Increases the DPS of all Crusaders by 15%.) upgrade and his Treaties Ability from his Legendary Orb (Increase the base DPS of all other Royal Crusaders by 100%)
