The Washed Up Hermit is the fifth Crusader available and a strong DPS dealer in the early game, due to his DPS increases, two solo DPS items, and good DPS/cost ratio. Hermit's location in a formation can grant additional bonus when placed properly.

Also, as of Feb. 7, 2020 the Hermit now has projectiles! His Arrow Attack ability lets him reuse all of those arrows to the knee he's taken over the years.

Available in Jeweled Chests or with a one-time token purchase from The Ruby Exchange, Hermit can change his appearance.

The Hermit has received some recent changes that alters his place in the formation. For starters Craziness, instead of multiplying his DPS based on having no one in front of him, instead it increases his DPS if he has fewer than two crusaders next to him. Additionally the changes made to Arrow Attack turns the Hermit into a projectile crusader dealing either 20X the DPS or two hundred times the Click Damage, so if you do have to put him next to someone, you should consider the Bush Whacker whose swordplay ability, if sufficiently upgraded, can very will cause DPS to skyrocket.
