An example of an Upgrade. Normally this could be buffed, but this Upgrade is exempted from being buffed.
An upgrade buff is a Formation Ability that buffs most Upgrades on affected crusaders. "Upgrades" here are denoted on the crusader's seat by the "Upgrade" text below the upgrade's name and the circular background (as opposed to the diamond background for Formation Abilities or the triangular background for active ability unlocks).
Unlike most effects, upgrade buffs stack additively with each other, even if there are multiple sources.
If an upgrade cannot be buffed, it will be marked with the message "(Can't be buffed by Formation Abilities)" in the bench tooltip.
The following Formation Abilities qualify as upgrade buffs, as well as their mimed and copycatted versions:
- Hildr's Mead Powered
- Viragallant's Antennae Tingling
- Umut's We Look Good on a Vase
- Odile's Quad Loop of Death
