The World's Wake campaign begins with the player simply resetting the world for the first time. This is mandatory, and automatically rewards the player with 100 Red Rubies upon completion. In order to reset the world, the player must acquire the crusader Nate Dragon, level him to 150, and purchase his level 150 skill "End of the World". Doing so will reset the world.
Note: you will obtain one idol for every 500 cumulative Crusader levels you have reached, so it is wise to spend your gold and obtain as many levels as you can.
Each area has a quest objective that falls into one of four categories: Kill X enemies, find X objects, find 1 object, or a boss. They are on a fixed rotation every 100 areas. After you finish X00 by killing the Underking, X01 will be the same objective as area 1, which is to find some rosemary for a stew. This makes no chronological sense on any campaign, and that's okay. The type of objective only plays a part in determining the effectiveness of different types of speed buffs. The breakdown for World's Wake is as follows:
- Kill X enemies: 24
- Find X objects: 48
- Find 1 object: 8
- Boss: 20
The following images will show the remaining campaigns of The World's Wake from left to right.

Note: This is the only available objective after your first reset (except event objective). However, if reaching area 100 is pretty hard, you can reset earlier. You will not get the 100 Rubies, but you will get
Idols. You can then start this objective again and it will be easier.

The monk carrying the hand grenade always remains in the front formation slot, but the other two monks move around the formation every 100 areas:
1-100
x o o o o X o o o x
101-200
o o o x o X o x o o
201-300
o x o o o X o o x o
301-400

401-500
x o o o o X o x o o
501-600
o o x o x X o o o o
601-700
o o o o o X o o x x
After area 700, the pattern repeats.
Note:
- For All Tiers:
- When the monk at the front point of the triangle dies, the grenade he's holding will explode, killing your whole formation. The monks have very low health.
- For Tier 1 and 2 only:
- You do not fail the objective if the grenade explodes. Rather, you step back an area as in other objectives.
- For Tier 3 and 4:
- You fail the objective if the grenade explodes before you reach the target area, so you must ensure that no monsters ever reach your formation.

Note:
- The Goo doesn't count as a Crusader for the purpose of formation abilities (like Detective Kaine's A-Hah! ability, or Frosty's Chilling Power). However, the slot is not empty for effects like Hermit's Lonerism (Backpack legendary effect).
- Gray Goo takes over your formation slots in a fixed sequence.
Waking Up
Tier 2
Note: Sleeping Crusaders in formation still gain XP, and can contribute tags to other Crusaders (gold finders for Kaine's legendary effect, for example).
After Mindy the Mime wakes up, her Mimic ability will mimic any crusaders' abilities next to her, whether they are asleep or not.
